The cone beam computer tomograph (CBCT) represents the latest technology in the domain of imaging and allows the tridimensional visualization of the scanned areas. Using a conic beam of X-rays, the CBCT scanner only needs a rotation around the patient in order to register hundreds of images from the desired zone. These images are then reconstructed with the help of an imaging software in order to obtain the virtual 3D model of the patient.
The entire procedure takes very short and the degree of exposure to radiations in the case of a computerized tomography performed with the CBCT equipment represents the equivalent of a complete RX dental status.
Our clinic has recently purchased such an equipment model Ray Scan Alfa 3D from one the companies affiliated with Samsung.
